Guanabo has the advantage of being close to Havana and Varadero Airport.

From Havana airport: 45 minutes driving time, 2000 CUP ○ 40 USD

From Varadero airport: 75 minutes driving time, 3500 CUP ○ 70 USD

Havana has more air traffic than Varadero and needs more time to get your luggage on the belt. The total time from landing to arriving in Guanabo therefore is more or less the same.
